Mountaineering
 Mountaineering
has a long tradition in the Central BiH. Decades long activities of eager nature
lovers have contributed to preserving natural beauties of the region's
mountains. In Kakanj and Zavidovići municipalities there are two mountaineering
associations - PD „Bobovac“ and PD „Tajan“. These associations are actively
involved in reconstructing old and marking new mountain trails. Highest
mountain peaks of the Central BiH region are Tajan (1.297 m) and Lipničko brdo
(1.459 m).

Alpinism
 The Central BiH region's terrain is mountainous and hilly, rich with limestone
rocks that are suitable for alpinism. Sport alpinism is becoming more and more
widespread. Several rocks have been climbed so far, with other being in the
process of preparation.

Hunting
Hunting in the Central BiH region is mountain oriented. The average altitude of
hunting areas is 650 meters. The average temperatures measure 0.9° C during
winter and 19,4° C during summer months.
 Wild game is very diverse with black bears, roes, wolves, wild boars, foxes,
martens, grouses, partridges, pheasants, wild ducks inhabiting the area.

Fishing
The region is very rich with rivers and streams providing habitat for numerous
species of fish. Rivers and sreams suitable for fishing are: Bosna, Trstionica,
Bukovica, Zgošća, Suha, Ribnica, Krivaja, Gostović. Fish species tha can
be found in the region are: river trout, Californian trout, carp, maple, sneep,
tench and whitefish.

Mountain biking
 „Nature's monument
Tajan“ area with hundreds of kilometres of forest roads and trails is ideal for
mountain biking. Each year, during May, there is a bike race on the race track
above the sport-recreational centre „Luke“ in Kamenica.ž

Rafting 
„Nature's monument Tajan“ area with hundreds of kilometres of forest roads and

Diving 
Would you like to experience the beauty of underwater flora and fauna of
Gostović river? This is an opportunity not to be missed by all diving lovers and
those who would like to become it. Sport-scientific club „Atom“ organizes 6
meters deep diving in Gostović river, with training and supervision provided by
professional divers.
Camps can be organized for larger groups of people.

Speleology
„Nature's monument Tajan“ area has over 100 caves. These caves are rich with
stalactites and stalagmites and are also famous for the remains of the extinct
species of the cave bear (Ursus speleus) as well as for the traces of centuries
old human settlements.
