Excursion site Bočica
 Bočica is located
at 920 metres above the sea level, 10 km from Kakanj. It is easily accessible as
all the roads are marked and go from Kakanj to the mountaineers’ house “Bočica”.
There are three access roads leading to Bočica and only one is accessible by car
– road to the village of Halinovići.
 Bočica is covered with coniferous and deciduous forest. As such, it is ideal
habitat for many species of wild animals such as foxes, martens, rabbits, wild
boar etc. Many specie of berries and endemic species of mushrooms grow in
Bočica’s forests, making it “heaven on Earth” for nature lovers.
Capacities of the mountaineers’ house make Bočica ideal for sports, cultural and
other types of meetings. It is the destination of choice for organizations of
many seminars and conferences. It also be used for several-days long stays,
hunters’ gatherings, camping, sports teams’ preparations etc. The mountain lodge
in Bočica is open throughout year to all visitors and nature goers. Reservations
at least 3 to 4 days prior to arrival are obligatory for larger groups of

 “Dipi’s trail” is
the most famous manifestation taking place in Bočica. This is a several-days
long mountaineers’ meeting with participants from the entire BiH and abroad. The
manifestation is held in memory on the late member of the association nicknamed
Dipi (Edib Dogdibegović).
Mountain Bočica will be enjoyed by those who are not closely connected to
mountaineering as well. For years Bočica has had arranged soccer, basketball and
volleyball fields. Visits from numerous ports teams from the region are not
rare. Within the complex there is a summer house, pool, terrace and fun park for
children, making the area even more unusual and attractive.
