Traffic and transport
Region of the Central BiH is interconnected by a network of railways and roads.
The future corridor V-C will pass through Kakanj municipality, so the access
will be much easier. If you travel by plane the nearest airport is in Sarajevo,
about 50 km from Kakanj.

Credit cards are getting more present, so in some hotels, supermarkets,
petrol stations you can make payments using them (VISA, MaestroCard). There are
also automatic banks in the town where you can take some cash out.

Konvertibilna marka, KM “Convertible mark” (1 KM = 100 Pfenings).
Coins - 5, 10, 20, 50 pfenings; 1, 2 and 5 KM,
